Day THREE of the Bring Pretty Back Project!

This week I am focusing on things to do to bring pretty back into my life that costs little to nothing. Day three is: Start making my bed every day. I make my bed once a week when I wash the sheets and then... I don't make it again until I wash the sheets the following week. I woke up today and immediately made the bed. It looks better,  and when we go to bed tonight it will be nice to get into a well made bed!

Have a pretty day!

Day TWO of the Bring Pretty Back Project!

Day TWO of the Bring Pretty Back Project! This week I am focusing on little things I can do for my health, like I said yesterday. Baby steps.

I know green tea is supposed to have many health benefits, so I plan to drink a few cups a day. I'm not a big fan of the taste so I was thinking of ways to jazz it up. I thought of a perfect idea for the summer! I took eight green tea bags and put them in the basket of my coffee pot and brewed a pot.

Now this is where I am proud of my creativity... I poured all of the tea in ice cube trays so I can add the cubes to water or any beverage! I will have green tea ice cubes at the ready all summer long!

Day ONE of the Bring Pretty Back Project!

Today I begin the BRING PRETTY BACK PROJECT~  A total makeover of my life one day at a time to make my life as pretty as possible. I love to run before I walk when I start something, but I am going to take baby steps as I tackle this project!

In thinking of what would be a good small step that would make a difference I decided that drinking more water would be a good start that is doable and costs nothing.

Rather than just filling up glasses at the sink, I am going to fill a pitcher every night so in the morning it is ready. Not only will the water be cold I will also have a way measure how much I  have had. The goal is a pitcher every day.

I know water is sometimes boring to drink, I am going to add things to the pitcher depending what I have on hand. Fruit, cucumber maybe a little mint.

When I don't feel like having another glass I will remind myself how blessed I am that I have fresh cold water. Many people in the world don't.

Have a pretty day!

Crying over a 20 year old toy!

CLEARLY I have hormone issues going on! Today it was so beautiful out I took my coffee outside to look at the flowers coming up and just enjoy the PRETTY day ~ I had been outside walking around the yard, enjoying the coffee...

Then it happened... I saw a little matchbox truck on the edge of the driveway that must have been under the gravel and when V plowed the snow this winter. I picked up the little truck and burst into tears. Our sons are all in their twenties. There I was standing in the driveway empty coffee cup in one hand and a little toy over two decades old - sobbing. OHHHH my babies... all grown up.

As I said they are in their twenties, the fact that they are men and not little boys is not "late breaking news" .

I think things are a changin' ... menopause is knocking on the door. I want to pretend I am not home. But I think it's like a bill collector ... not going away, so I need to face it.

I believe I need to take a trip to Sam's club and buy tissue's in bulk.

Have a pretty day!
